International song databases
There are many third-party databases where users from all over the world share and download song TXT-files. Here we try to list many known providers and monitor their legal status:
Song Database
USDB.animux.de
USDB.animux.de is established since 2009. It only hosts TXT-files and supports USDB Syncer. It doesn’t support UltraStar song format v1 currently.
The database is not legally managed for any region. So you’re not allowed to use it. We recommend you to look out for other options.
We don’t link because of illegal TXT-Files.
Song Database
UltraStar ES Spain
The database of ultrastar.es is established since 2009. It doesn’t support UltraStar song format v1 permanently.
The database is not legally managed for any region and even contains illegal torrents optionally. So you’re not allowed to use it. We recommend you to look out for other song providers.

Even if adapting any song for UltraStar for your own purposes may be legal in your country, it does not mean that you can share it with anyone.

All known databases including animux.de are not properly managend legally yet. There are many TXT files that some artists and companies maybe don’t tolerate. Please use at your own discretion. Look out for regional license information for each TXT file.
If you download TXT files from these websites you have to buy the equivalent music/video files accordingly in trusted stores or already own them.

USDB Syncer
USDB-Syncer is a download app for updating or getting new TXT files from usdb.animux.de easily. It was first released in May 2023 and currently supports UltraStar song format v1.
Since this app refers to illegal usdb.animux.de Database you aren’t allowed to use it. Please read disclaimer below for more information.

USDB SYNCER has a optional download function for youtube streaming content. If activated this function completes a TXT file with audio and video automatically.
Legally, Youtube-Downloads are grey area in many countries and in some countries it may be legal for personal use only (as private copy) or even generally illegal. Again: Please check your local laws.
In any case Open Music Games Team generally do not want you to use the youtube-download function of USDB-Syner. Do not activate.
This basically just harms the income and existence of musicians. Please support the artists you like. Its mostly just some bucks to buy audio and video files in official online stores.
Yet, since we don’t have influence on third-parties or all international communities, it’s your decision.
